Welcome to the web site of the 2008 National Junior Classical League Convention. The 2008 Convention will be held on the campus of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

The NJCL convention is held yearly on a college campus and open to JCL members who have completed the 7th grade and the age of 12 by July 1, their teachers and chaperones, and members of the collegiate affiliate, the Senior Classical League. It is a time to exchange ideas, hear noted speakers, participate in workshops, compete in academic, graphic arts, and creative arts contests and to meet JCL students from the United States and Canada.

This site is provided as a service of the Ohio JCL, is maintained by our local chairs, and will keep you up to date about our preparations for the 2008 Convention. Our hope for this site is to help you make your planning for the Convention that much more convenient. To this end, we are pleased to offer the preliminary travel planner that was distributed to state chairs at the 2007 Convention. This planner is a PDF document (download size: 2.2 MB) and gives highlights of attractions near Oxford, Cincinnati, and beyond.
