Miami’s food is pretty good, actually. According to their web site, “Since 2005, Miami University’s Food Service has received 23 awards in national dining competitions, with Miami winning more first-place awards (13) than any other university in North America.”

Everyone we’ve met with at the university has made it clear that while their volume of business is lighter in the summer, they still take the same care in preparing their food, right down to baking their own baked goods right on campus.

I think you’ll enjoy the eats on campus.

Hey, I’m going to be attending convention this year, and I was just wondering if the kitchen provides nutritional information for their food. I know it’s a long shot, but I can’t be the only diabetic JCLer attending and it would really help to be able to count the carbohydrates in the meals at convention. Thanks!

It appears Miami lists this information. You can go to this page on Miami’s web site: http://www.hdg.muohio.edu/EatingAtMiami/MyTray/index.php and do the following:

1. fill in any date between 7/28 and 8/2
2. select “summer camps” as location
3. select a meal
4. select “harris summer traditions”, “hamilton summer traditions”, or “martin summer traditions”

I don’t know which dining hall you’ll be assigned, but it should give you a general idea of what to look for in a couple of weeks.

My name is Ben Lassiter and I am the vice-president for the South Carolina Junior Classical League. I was wondering if we could have a spot at the Bazaar. I am so sorry this is past the deadline but we were hoping to have some T-shirts made for the spirit competitions but due to the fact that there are so little of us coming we do not have enough people per t-shirts and all the t-shirt companies require a minimum to be made so I was hoping we could have just a little area to sell the extra t-shirts at.
